It’s another motor show month, and although Jaguar are at the Shanghai Motor Show the real action is due to take place in New York on Wednesday 20th April. So what do Jaguar have up their sleeve for fans at the New York Motor Show? Actually, we don’t think there’s anything we haven’t already reported, but you never know.
Fresh from its world debut at the 2012 Geneva motor show, Ferrari has issued this video of the new F12 Berlinetta supercar to whet our appetite for what the 599 successor sounds like. The new F12 Berlinetta is an extraordinary car on paper: its 6.2-litre V12 packs 730bhp and 509lb ft – all of which you'll hear deployed in this official Ferrari video. CAR will get to drive the car over the coming months, but for now you'll have to watch this video of the car demonstrating its 3.1 second 0-62mph capability.
The Science Museum in London, UK is hosting the Japan Car: Designs for the Crowed Globe exhibition, sponsored by seven Japanese automobile manufacturers. An exploration of the car as a 'mobile cell', the exhibition has been conceived by graphic designer Kenya Hara and architect Shigeru Ban to show how Japanese design reflects the 'soil and spirit' of Japan, depicted by concept cars and models specific to the Japanese market. Speaking to Car Design News, Shigeru Ban explained how the automobile was chosen as the central element to the exhibition because it is a reflection of Japanese culture and tradition.
